This is a multimedia piece I created with Haiting Hu. We reported on the topic of Trisomy 18, a chromosomal disorder and how different families dealt with the diagnosis. We spoke to two different women who received a Trisomy 18 diagnosis during their pregnancy, but chose two different solutions. I loved working on this long form piece because I got to spend time with our subjects to get an understanding of their life. For the project, I scripted the videos, wrote the text pieces and animated the social media videos. Haiting took the photos and we wrote the photo captions and edited the videos together. We chose the title "Unraveled"  because it not only has a biological connotation with genetics, but also one of the mothers told us after the diagnosis that "you're trying to figure out how to not let it [your family] unravel and completely fall apart."
